Eugene Diaz

Eugene Diaz is a 20 year old young man who had a promising future. He had completed one year at Rutgers College, and was currently working full time to pay some bills. He was enrolled in the fall semester at Lincoln Tech and planned to pursue an HVAC career. On his way to work on the morning of May 11, Eugene’s life was forever changed. He and his girlfriend, Leslie, were involved in a serious car accident that nearly claimed Eugene’s life. Even though he has been able to recover from his physical injuries, Eugene has been left with a severe traumatic brain injury that will require many years of therapy and care. His family has finally been able to secure the insurance necessary for his minimum care, but many of his needs will not be covered by any source at all. Funds raised from T-Bird will help to offset some costs associated with his treatment that would not otherwise be provided.
